1ST TUESDAY CLUB
December’s meeting “Christmas is Coming” went well with the members enjoying quizzes, games, singing and lovely food.
They made a decision to go to Largs Amateur Operatic Society’s performance of Evita on the Saturday Matinee since this performance has now been introduced, with a meal afterwards. The 40 tickets have been rapidly snapped up.
In January we were delighted to welcome the “Compass” group, 3 gentlemen with perfect choices of music and song. We will certainly endeavour to invite them back!
In February, a large audience braved the elements to watch Vivienne’s slides of her trip from the Caribbean to the Pacific through the Panama Canal. Certainly warmer than Scotland!
We were again pleased to welcome Anna Bruce with her case of toolsand replacements for hearing aids, doing sterling work.
We will welcome Irene Hopkins on 1st March. Irene is known to us as an accomplished speaker and her subject will be “The Grandfather Clock”.
We hope that as many as possible of the club’s members will support the “wee afternoon concert” run by the Guild in the church hall on Wednesday 30 March at 2.30pm when we will be entertained by the “Hi-lites“.
Margaret Turner will bring the Fiddle Orchestra on 5 April and we will finish the session in May with a special guest, Mrs Mack from The High Road aka Gwyneth Bolland.
